Now I am likely wrong because we haven't actually met, but from your writing and the attitude your posts present, you seem like a very intelligent guy with a kind heart who is very honest. The difference between you and I is that you have turned the blame inward on yourself and internalize damaging your own self esteem, whereas I place the blame where I it (and yes, I have taking my portion of the blame in my relationships with women). For example, with the dating post I made yesterday that post was not based entirely upon the actions of my ex. I posted that because I am fed up with the attitudes of the women (and of the men too) on the dating sites that I tried. Particularly with a couple of hot topics "who pays on a date" and "nice guys." In the thread "who pays on a date", you would get types of responses, the most prominent of which was "the person who asks is the one who pays" (of course, the women admit that they rarely ask, if ever) followed closely by "the should always pay". In a distant 3rd was "after several dates, the woman offer to pay the next and then alternate from there". In dead last was "both split the cost of the check." The remarks have been amazing "a who doesn't pick up the check is not a gentleman", "he needs to pay to win my attention", "the more he pays, the more attractive he is", and on and on. This is where my disdain for women comes from. And I know that all women aren't like this, but the cards are so stacked against us finding one it is ridiculous. Even my -'s fiance shows signs of it (a couple of her recent posts went on about how it was good he brought her a gift when he forgot about casserole night his is having substance issues again ) and I consider her to be quite nice. And to keep the "nice guy" portion of my post brief, nice guys are viewed by all as having ulterior motives (sex what a shock; nice guys like sex) and are therefore deemed users.
